Another Year Passes

April saw us hold our annual AGM for the group, which was held at the excellent Moulton Community Centre in Moulton Village.

As you will have guessed by now I was kindly voted on as Chairman of our group for a second year.
Along with the committee and the team we aim to continue to grow the group and maintain the success it has built up over the years.

At a recent Mature drivers event I had contact with South Northants First Responders who were also exhibiting and they may be interested in either having advanced training or invite us to do a talk about advanced driving at one of their training days. I also met a member of the Fiat Abarth owners cub and they are going to invite me to one of their meets to discuss the benefits of advanced driving.
One of my main aims for this year will be to continue to try and grow the social side of the group, with the aim to encourage more of us to get together as a group on occasions for social events and general chats with likeminded people.

We have run a couple of events so far this year, more of which you can read about in this newsletter.
Hopefully I will see you at some of the events arranged this year.

I am writing this article on the weekend of the Coronation of King Charles III and one of the messages form this is about the Big Help and encouraging volunteers to help with local communities and charities and many other role.

Don’t forget The IAM is a charitable foundation and the local groups are run by volunteers and we are always happy for volunteers to be on the committee and train as observers. If you are interested then please contact myself or a member of the committee for further information.
