We hold free taster sessions on the first Sunday of each month. They are run from our mobile display unit. This unit has a set of caravan step to gain access. These steps are not sturdy.
You do not need to access the unit to have your taster drive. The Unit is based in the car park, therefore if it is easier you can phone our associate officer email 07967 651820 from within your vehicle when you arrive and we will come to you.
There are no toilets on site.
You will be paired with your nearest Observer and will be able to arrange mutually convenient checkdrives, both for when and where.
Our usual drive is around an hour, which includes a debrief. We can arrange for these to be shorter is there is a need.
Our classroom session is held at Police HQ. It is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and has an accessible toilet.
We hold our annual general meeting at Moulton Community Centre which is fully accessible. There is a large car park, lift and excellent accessible toilets.
You can use a car with adaptive controls. Our observers will rely on you, the expert, to talk them through the adaptive controls before you set off on your initial drive.
If you have concern about communication during your observed drives, we can learn from you how best to communicate.
